I need some important incite on Ipod Touch details?

July 5, 2010 - 7:22 am 2 Comments

This is a very important question for me, as I have been thinking about this for quite a long time now. I have saved up around five hundred dollars over the last month, and was wondering if I should buy an Ipod touch. I have always wanted one since its launch, but didn’t have the money for it. I now have more than enough money. Here is the catch though. I am well aware that a "supposed" new ipod touch (3rd gen.) is on its way to the market, and also that there is a new iphone that is in development. This iphone may make it to the Verizon wireless market because of Verizon’s upcoming 4g network, but still is unlikely because of AT&T renewing their contract. I have an idea in my head that near after the Apple conference in September, the new devices will be unveiled. I just want some of your opinions on what you think I should do….

Much help is appreciated. I hope I didn’t waste your time. Thank you.

well, i would wait, and see what comes out. i have an ipod touch, i absolutely hate it. it always freezes and shuts off and is always low on battery "/
i would wait for something new :D
i doubt the iphone will come to verizon though.
i hope i helped :D

do u think Glenn Beck is hijacking martin luther kings legacy?

July 2, 2010 - 7:19 am 10 Comments

Some of the nation’s top civil rights leaders are angrily accusing right-wing media star Glenn Beck of "hijacking" the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King’s "I Have a Dream" speech by planning to rally his conservative forces at the same Lincoln Memorial site on the anniversary date of Aug. 28 — and so they are planning a counter-rally and march of their own.

"Beck is hijacking the imagery and symbolism of August 28 and the Lincoln Memorial to promote an agenda of intolerance," said Marc H. Morial, the former New Orleans mayor who is now president and CEO of the National Urban League, one of the counter-rally organizers, said earlier tonight in a telephone interview.

The Morial-led Urban League is teaming with well-known activists such as the Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network in planning a "mass rally" and march that will begin at a high school in Northeast Washington. Morial said that one of King’s surviving children, Martin Luther King III, is also on board. Less than three miles away, the Fox News Channel host and former half-term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are headlining a heavily promoted rally called "Restoring Honor."

Morial said in the phone interview that civil rights leaders believe that "Beck is deliberately trying to poke a stick in our eye, or kick sand in our faces" by holding the rally on the 47th anniversary and at the spot of King’s most famous speech, at a massive rally to lobby support for what would become the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that ended legal segregation in America.

Beck claimed earlier this month on his radio show that one of his goals is to "reclaim the civil right movement," saying that it should be about individual liberties and not social justice or supporting undocumented immigration, which he called "modern day slavery." But as Beck’s popularity has risen since launching his Fox News program the same week that Barack Obama became the nation’s first African-American president — angering many with attacks linking Obama to socialism or communism and also triggering outrage with his comment that the president has "a deep-seated hatred for white people."

Beck is not "high-jacking" Martin Luther King’s legacy… He is honoring it! In fact, MLK’s niece, who marched with Dr. King, and is a highly educated doctor in her own right, totally supports Beck’s activities. They have become great friends.

Actually when the August 28 date was first chosen, he didn’t even realize that it was the anniversary of the MLK speech… until someone pointed it out to him. But since his goals for the program are very compatible with the MLK speech and MLK’s entire message, he saw no disconnect.

But frankly even if he did, are you saying no one can have a rally on that day? Where does that come from?

Beck feels that today’s civil rights leaders have strayed away from the message of MLK. That was the point behind the recapturing the civil rights movement.

And don’t even try to say that Beck is a racist or a bigot. Because if you have watched any of his shows discussing the issues facing Blacks and the POSITIVE role of Blacks in history, you couldn’t possibly believe that bologna.

Beck has attacked Obama and the radicals whom he surrounds himself with on the ISSUES and uses their own words to prove his points. It’s amazing how people consistently ignore that rather important point.

what is a south park episode when people are launched at the TV network building?

June 29, 2010 - 10:26 pm 3 Comments

Im not sure if it is the movie, i know kyle’s mum is being a bit*h in it, its old and i can’t exactly remember it. The people are launched at the wall at a suicide attempt to do something.

That would be the sixth episode of season1: Death
Stans grandpa is trying to kill himself and the boys do not think it is right, while jyles mom begins and continues to complain about the toilet humour of terrance and philips.
This leads her to launch individuals at the comedy central building
You can watch it here http://www.xepisodes.com/southpark/episodes/106/Death.html

Will Cartoon Network ever launch another cartoon block that is like Toonami or will it relaunch Toonami?

June 24, 2010 - 2:10 am 3 Comments

Because Tom said something that implies Toonami could return.

Sadly no because now cartoon network is run by idiots who think adventure time flap jack chowder and the total drama series are funny will make more money then toonamiand are age appropriate for the cartoon network viewers even though 99% of them are under the age of 11.

They also cant bring toonami back due to the fact all the other anime is on adult swim, nick toons and surprisingly disney xd

cartoon network also cant bring toonami because it filled up all its hours with those stupid shorts and reruns of the worst tv shows ever

Who is watching the Cooking Channel?

June 6, 2010 - 3:47 am 2 Comments

Today is the first day for this new network…Fine Living was axed to make room for this. I’m watching now, and as I suspected, it is like when MTV started getting into lifestyle shows instead of music videos, they launched MTV2 to keep videos on the air. Now Food Network has launched her baby sister…Cooking Channel, for instructional programming rather than competition and travel shows about food, which is where FN seems to be going.

I was disappointed to find when I set up my DVR, that some of the shows are previously aired, so borrowed/bought from other channels, I guess worldwide channels. I suppose I was a bit naive to think they would film a bunch of original shows for a new channel. Lots of international influences now! I kind of like it now that I have my attitude adjusted!

I can tell now, that I will have to get familiar with eyeballing metric measurements, as I usually squirrel away ideas, rather than whole recipes. I bet if there is a recipe database at their website, I can convert too. It is just strange! 200 degree oven never does anything at my house! hahha!

So what do you all think, are you watching?

may be i can have a look

Why don’t network show give Reality TV Shows to Black people who are not already famous?

May 26, 2010 - 1:01 pm 2 Comments

I noticed that Networks like, History CH, Discovery CH, A&E and SY-FI do not give blacks Reality Shows as they do for whites who are not considered famous prior to shows being launched. Examples: Dog, All-Ghost Hunters Shows, American Pickers, Pawn Shop and the list goes on. However they only give show to blacks that are famous prior to show being launched. Example: The TO show, Mike Tyson, James Bubba Stewart and so on. Why is this? Does anyone think that American Networks are being racist by not offering unknown black talent to become famous in the Reality Show world as they clearly do for whites? Below is an example of what I mean.

The networks don’t give out reality shows. They choose from shows that are pitched to them by producers. Apparently no one with that kind of clout is pitching shows that feature unknown African Americans. Maybe black power brokers like P Diddy and Spike Lee would rather focus their energy somewhere else. Or maybe they just think reality tv is a big joke.

anyone have any info on the 360 degree network marketing that will launch the 15 of this month?

May 13, 2010 - 10:46 am 1 Comment

Well, unfortunately the site is long on hype and short on specifics… I guess that’s why it’s a "Pre-Launch", right? :)
They promise proprietary, patented products backed up with some serious endorsements.
We do have to wait and see, but it’s a single-line downline, with no cost, so there’s absolutely NO reason to not go ahead and join, LockYourSpot, and see what it becomes on launch day!

Do you think that Adult Swim block hours should not be on CartoonNetwork?Instead have it’s own channel?

May 8, 2010 - 5:29 pm 4 Comments

I have been wondering lately, how the world is changing, each time more profane, sexual stuff on television especially on kids television networks i.e Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, etc..

I remember back throughout the 90s and early 00s watching cartoon network with my younger brother and sister, there was no profanity. But that all changed in Aug-Sept 2001 when cartoon network launched adult swim.

I remember when cartoon network first launched in 1992 the theme was "24 hour cartoons".

It’s the same thing for MTV "music" now it’s these stupid dull reality shows, when actually it’s not reality of the celebrities life.

I liked the old Nickelodeon 1980s-early 00s. Now you see these dull preteen shoes i.e iCarly.
It was better when it showed "You can’t do that on Television", and much more.

The bottom line is I think that Cartoon Network should be the same way as it was 17-12years ago. And make up a separate channel called Adult Swim Network where it would show shows like Family Guy, Cowboy Bebop, Lupin 3rd etc.

I agree,While i love Adult Swim and the majority of its programming, i also feel that there are alot of parents that let their kids watch cartoons before bed and if they woke up in the middle of the night to adult swim they could definitely be in for a shock(or scare). While this could be blamed on parenting,i still think that some people may not know the content of the cartoons that come on when the sun goes down,it would be safer to air them on a separate network.
