    They may air a "pilot" episode first, just to see what reaction it gets…is that what you meant? Otherwise it’s jsut the series premiere episode.

    it’s usually shot in real places, and then if its successful a set is built and the show becomes regular

    my friend explained it to me, she’s OBSESSED with gilmore girls and made me watch the first episode and wouldn’t shut up about how different the town was in that one because it was a pilot
