Do you think that Adult Swim block hours should not be on CartoonNetwork?Instead have it’s own channel?
I have been wondering lately, how the world is changing, each time more profane, sexual stuff on television especially on kids television networks i.e Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, etc..
I remember back throughout the 90s and early 00s watching cartoon network with my younger brother and sister, there was no profanity. But that all changed in Aug-Sept 2001 when cartoon network launched adult swim.
I remember when cartoon network first launched in 1992 the theme was "24 hour cartoons".
It’s the same thing for MTV "music" now it’s these stupid dull reality shows, when actually it’s not reality of the celebrities life.
I liked the old Nickelodeon 1980s-early 00s. Now you see these dull preteen shoes i.e iCarly.
It was better when it showed "You can’t do that on Television", and much more.
The bottom line is I think that Cartoon Network should be the same way as it was 17-12years ago. And make up a separate channel called Adult Swim Network where it would show shows like Family Guy, Cowboy Bebop, Lupin 3rd etc.
I agree,While i love Adult Swim and the majority of its programming, i also feel that there are alot of parents that let their kids watch cartoons before bed and if they woke up in the middle of the night to adult swim they could definitely be in for a shock(or scare). While this could be blamed on parenting,i still think that some people may not know the content of the cartoons that come on when the sun goes down,it would be safer to air them on a separate network.

That sounds like a pretty good idea having adult swim as its own network. That way people can watch adult swim programs through out the day. I don’t really agree with your reason though. I know Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon are not as good as they used to be, but it is not because it got too profane. If anything it is not profane enough. Personally I would rather have Adult Swim programs be intergrated into the regular CN block, but then the FCC and PTC will start whining about it and ruin everything. So a separate channel for adult swim would be just fine, as long as all TV providers have it as a basic package. If it means having to buy the adult swim network I’d rather have it stay on Cartoon Network at night. However screw Family Guy they should get Futurama back!

I remember when I was a kid , and they first came out with Adult Swim and I was totally shocked when I woke up and Home Movies was on. The soccer coach kept saying damn, I was totally shocked! I agree I never understood why in hell they would put shows kids should never be watching on ar night plus it starts at nine but with King Of The Hill so that’s not too bad. But later at night with Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force kids should never watch that. I agree. Now on Cartoon Network it’s not all cartoons now it has tons and tons of reality shows, even a cartoon that is a reality show (Total Dram Island/Action) WTF?
Nickelodeon has always had weird shows like Icarly and Drake and Josh remember Allthat and The Amanda Bynes show? They were weird.

I see your point. Honestly, my favorite years were the early years, but that includes the early toonami and early adult swim years.
Actually, I hope they do not completely separate them (they are separate ratings wise). If Adult Swim had its own channel, it would probably be like Boomerang where people would have to pay more to get the package including it. And I REALLY wish I had Boomerang, but my mother pays the cable bill.
Essentially, it would cost viewers more money if Adult Swim had it’s own channel.
