    A great history. A memory-flogger for me as I was allowed to tour KABC in 1969, met Carl Mesmer, Bill Jones, Russ Van Arsdale and other ABC national types. I think I saw Alex Dreier leaving the building at 3321 La Cienega, after taping his show.

    ..wow back when live was done for reason.. not just the sake of “being live.” the bad TV habit of being live somewhere where something happened hours ago just because you have to use the live truck is creeping into radio ..Its fun to see all those carts (which was standard fare in my early years), but they made sure to edit the video to not show a cart misfire or better yet, the infamous cart stack drop that you used to see once a week at any given radio station.
